Reconciliation findings
Reconciliation Gaps is the heaviest category in the health score, because an unreconciled bank or credit card account undermines every other finding. It reads the Reconciliation Summary report against the bank and credit card accounts on the chart.
Status unknown
If you did not upload a Reconciliation Summary, every bank and credit card account gets a WARNING that its reconciliation status is unknown. That is not a judgment about the books; it means the scan cannot see the reconciliation history. Upload the report and re-scan to replace these with real findings.
Never reconciled in QBO
If the report was uploaded and an account is not in it, QBO has never reconciled that account. With a balance, that is a CRITICAL finding. With a zero balance and no activity, the account is listed once as a deactivation candidate instead.
Behind on reconciliation
Accounts that were reconciled but not recently: 2 to 6 months behind is INFO or WARNING, 6 months or more is WARNING or CRITICAL, measured against the review period end.
Files migrated from QuickBooks Desktop
Reconciliation history does not carry over from QuickBooks Desktop. A migrated file can have years of clean reconciliations in Desktop and none in QBO, so its accounts show as status unknown or never reconciled in QBO. Both findings say so and give the next step: ask the client for the last reconciled statement date, then start the first QBO reconciliation from that statement balance and reconcile forward. The severity stays as it is, because the QBO reconciliation still has to be done; the finding tells you where to start it.
If a finding is still wrong for your client, use the flag icon on it and say why. Flags go to the calibration queue.
